Playful and Beautiful Metamorphic Art

The Cats&Co. series was born when I was commissioned to make a series of paintings about cats and wine. The four Cats&Wine pictures are sold. They found their home in the hottest part of Australia. I hope they are happy there.

I have had a lot of interest from art collectors who would love to buy the paintings, so I have decided to create prints of those four images.

In my tempera paintings, Cats&Japan Subseries, I merged elements of cats and Japanese culture. I still need titles for some of them.

I tried combining anthropomorphic feline figures with traditional Japanese attire and details to create unique and visually striking pieces.

I am very proud of myself – I have a tangible personal connection with this series and am satisfied with the results.

These paintings are a whimsical blend of my fantasy and cultural and historical influences from Japan.

I invite you to explore and appreciate the fusion of different artistic inspirations. All of them are painted on paper using tempera, gouache, and watercolour.
